Special Places of Negros Oriental

Bais City is one of the country’s top spots for dolphins and whale watching. Whale sightings are not to be depended especially outside of March to October migration season, spinner dolphins are quite common throughout the year. Bias City tourism office was in the city plaza that can organize a boat. There is a whale watching wharf located at the Barangay Capistuhan. The whale is no show to do. There is also a 7km long a sandbar that stuck out in the middle of the sea those boats can take you to frolic in. There is also a bird watching. The bay is a home to several mangrove fringed islands making up a bird sanctuary.
Guihulngan it is a long trip by bus for three hours from Dumaguete. Dive Negros is plain concrete compound with a breakwater and dive center. It is about 15 minutes past in township on the national highway.
Valencia; were you can find the Mt.Talinis which means pointed it is 6km southeast from Dumaguete . Valencia is a cleaned and leafy town with a large grassed central square. In the barrio called Tejeros where you can see the Banica Valley a richly forested area that ideal for swimming, hiking and overnight stays.
Dauin is the largest of the southern towns and the administrative guardian of the beautiful divers of Apo. Is a pleasant brown sand beach and good for snorkeling?  South of Dauin is the marine reserve of Masaplod Norte. This is the town that takes its diving very seriously.
Malatapay is best known by tourist for its huge and lively markets it is also known for being the departure point for Apo Island.
Bonbonon southwest of Malatapay and accessed by a 9km dirt road and humble little Kookoo’s Nest Beach Cottages the most isolated beach in Negros.

The Apo Island Marine Reserve and Fishes Sanctuary is a 15,000 sq-m protected area in the southeastern corner that is known as the most successful marine reserves in the Philippines. It contains a vital marine life and breeding area that one of a favorite site among the divers.

Is a simple and pleasure urable as helping yourself to a buffet. There are roads and nonstop bus services around the coast. There are also visiting myriad and natural attractions. It was the capital of Dumaguete. Negros Oriental has a tropical climate because of the mountain range. Christianity is the predominant religion in the province.  The major industry in Negros Oriental is agriculture; there are also mineral deposit like gold, silver and copper.
Dumaguete is a nice place that has a pleasant surprises view, like Manson’s Place that have cheap Filipino foods and espresso coffee, Why Not the name of the internet cafe that has expensive but the only place where you can buy mango daiquiris. They have also medical services the very known and famous in the whole Negros was the Siliman University Medical Centre. There are also several banks in town like the Bank  of Philippine Island or BPI that located in then Perdices St. and also have a branch in San Jose. China Bank that located in Legaspi St. Equitable PCI Bank and Metrobank located in Real St. the post office was located in the Santa Catalina and Pedro Teres Sts. The main post office is near in the Quezon Park. It has also tourist information the Dumaguete Tourism Office and Provincial Tourism Office located behind the provincial capitol building.

The Island of Negros

The beautiful island of Negros is a place we’d unhesitatingly recommend to any traveler. Negros was famed as the sugar bowl of the Philippines. The majority of arable land was turned over to sugarcane plantations from the year of 1850’s. The both cities and town are many historic building that still stand of testament to the fortunes that made by the sugar barons. Negros Island is the fourth largest island in the Philippines. They called it Buglas it is a native word that means ‘cut off’.
Negros is divided into two provinces the side of a central mountain range; Negros Oriental the capital of the Dumaguete was in the east. And to the west was Negros Occidental the capital of the Bacolod. Mostly of their language are the Visayan dialects of Ilonggo, Cebuano and Hiligaynon dominate.
Negros is exposed to the vicissitudes of a fickle market that like any monocarps economy. Today’s Negros was increasingly looking to tourism to revive its fortune. Negros busiest port is in Bacolod and Dumaguete, the other smaller towns are also accessible by boat. Bacolod and Dumaguete airports are services by flights from Manila and Cebu City. Dumaguete airport is located in Sibulan a government operated airport.
